An elegant 19th century residence surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Amalfi Coast, Ravello's Dimora di Mare is a fabulously peaceful retreat, just steps away from the sea. Recent renovation work has conserved all the original architectural characteristics of the building whilst allowing for the integration of the latest in contemporary comforts. Today, Villa Sgrosso, managed by owners Renato and Annalisa Sgrosso, provides the perfect coastal hideaway for those clients looking for quality accommodation and the utmost privacy within the unique setting of the Amalfi Coast.

The villa, the four floors of which are connected by an ancient stairway with ornate inlaid wooden handrails, is comprised of reception hall, living room with large open fireplace and antique library, and eight attractive bedrooms complete with majolica floors and exquisite items of period furniture. Each of the spacious bedrooms has a small sitting area. From the windows and balconies of the bedrooms, breathtaking views of the sea washing the Amalfi Coast can be enjoyed.

Dimora di Mare sits almost directly above the sea, amidst terraced gardens cascading with colourful bougainvillea. Guests reach the water's edge via a series of stone steps, which lead down past sweet-smelling orange and lemon trees to well-equipped solariums, enchanting natural caves, and a small private jetty. On one of the villa's panoramic terraces, there is a swim spa (4,30m x 2,5m), suitable for upstream swimming, hydromassage, aromatherapy and chromotherapy. In one of the caves, a two person infrared sauna has been created.
