The Hotel Il San Pietro is a staggeringly beautiful property overlooking the bay of Positano. The hotel has been so skilfully built as to become almost an integral part of the rock face; immersed in the immense natural beauty of the coastline.
Hotel Il San Pietro has 62 rooms sculpted in to the cliffs, all with private terraces overlooking the sea. From their balconies guests are greeted by endless views of the Mediterranean and glimpses of the green slopes of the Lattari Mountains.
From the main lobby a lift, carved in to the rock, transports guests directly to the hotel's private beach. This fabulous little beach, set in a quiet natural cove, provides an idyllic environment where to sunbathe or relax whilst sipping a drink served at the beach bar. From May to September those wishing to explore the coast by boat, can enjoy a complimentary morning excursion, or take to the seas in the hotel's Morgan 44 Joey, available to guests for charter. The hotel's tennis court is located close to the beach, created in an inlet nestling between high rock faces. Tennis lessons and matches with a professional tennis coach are available on request.
Other wellness facilities available to guests can be found in the hotel's Fitness Center, equipped with state-of-the-art cardio and iso machines. An extensive range of massages, facial and full body treatments are performed by highly qualified and expert staff. A Turkish bath and Finnish shower relax and invigorate.
The restaurant of the Hotel Il San Pietro has received much acclaim, and has been awarded a Michelin star for its marvellous cuisine. Belgian born chef, Alois Vanlangenaeker creates beautifully presented Mediterranean and international dishes using the finest local ingredients and the hotel's own olive oil. The impressive wine list features a comprehensive selection of the finest regional wines.
