Rifugio degli Dei Positano - Amalfi Coast

Rifugio degli Dei is situated in Positano, in the heart of the Regional Park of the Lattari Mountains. From the Arienzo district of Positano, a short walk through the exquisitely perfumed Mediterranean marquis leads to an ancient olive grove and the house where the owner, Elia, used to play as a child.

In 2007, Elia, together with his daughter Anna and his four grandchildren, decided to restore the family's old country residence and convert the building in three, well appointed holiday apartments, each named after one of the Gods associated with the Amalfi Coast: Poseidon, Dionysus and Aphrodite. Ideal for those wishing to self cater; each apartment is comprised of a bedroom, bathroom, and a living-cum-dining room complete with fully equipped kitchenette. Every apartment has its own private terrace with view of the Positano, the sea and the islands of Li Galli and Capri.

For much of the year, Rifugio degli Dei's large, sun-kissed terrace, with views over great part of the Amalfi Coast, provides a wonderfully panoramic outdoor breakfast room. In the winter, breakfast is served in the country house's attractive dining room, located on the first floor of the building.

The perfect Italian retreat for nature lovers, the Rifugio degli Dei is located close to a number of wonderfully scenic footpaths, including the stunning Sentiero degli Dei and the Alta Via dei Monte Latteri. The "Scalinata di Arienzo" (a flight of 250 steps cut in to the hillside) and the pretty little village of Nocelle are within walking distance of the property. Both the historic center and the beach of Positano are just a few minutes away.
