The closest airport to Amalfi is that of Naples Capodichino, where both national and international flights land. For those traveling by train, the nearest railway station is that of Salerno. From Salerno there are hourly bus connections departing from the square right outside the station.
Those traveling by car from the southern or central Italy along the Salerno-Reggio Calabria, or Avellino-Salerno motorways should exit at Salerno. Traffic arriving from the North on the Napoli-Salerno stretch of motorway should exit at Vietri sul Mare.
From May to October, Amalfi is served by ferry and hydrofoil connections Positano, Salerno, Naples, Sorrento, Ischia and Capri.
