Atrani, Amalfi Coast

Atrani is made up of a group of houses which cling to the slopes of the mountains, surrounds Piazza Umberto I, and looking out to the sea.

Considering its size, Atrani has a quite surprising number of Churches: the Franciscan Monastery of St Rosalia, the Church of St Maria Immacolata, the Church of St Maria del Bando, the Chapel of St Gertrude, the Church of St Salvatore de Birceto, the Church of the Carmine and the church of St Michele.

Exquisite local produce includes pickled aubergines. One of the most important events held in Atrani is the Sagra del Pesce Azzurro.
