Furore, Amalfi Coast

Furore stands out from other villages because of its unusual town landscape. A cascade of houses cling to the rock face. There are no squares, and the village is comprised exclusively of narrow alleys and flights of steps.

The village itself is in the internal part of the territory, whilst, towards the sea, there is the "Fiord of Furore". The town is known because of its popular traditions and in particular the use of "nicknames", and for its ties with the history of Italian cinema, having been chosen as the setting for the love stories of Federico Fellini, Anna Magnani and Roberto Rossellini.
