Palinuro Amalfi Coast
From the Grotta Azzurra to Capo Palinuro: an enchanting place to visit by boat
Palinuro is an enchanting town with a stunning coastline. Situated on the Coast of Cilento, Palinuro is a pearl of Italy's Campania region. Capo Palinuro has become the symbol of the town: a spectacular limb of coast stretching out towards the intense blue of the Tyrrhenian sea. On its summit, the traces of past civilisations can be seen, including an ancient Greek Necropolis, articles from which are conserved in the town's Antiquarium.
Palinuro's Palazzo Baronale Rinaldi, where Gioacchino Murat sojourned in 1814, merits a visit. Definitely not to be missed, a tour by boat so as to admire the Natural Arch and the splendid sea caves of Palinuro: the Grotta Azzurra, Grotta dei Monaci, Grotta d'Argento and Grotta del Sangue.
